What We Need for an Accurate Quote

A quote is only as good as the information behind it. Send these and we can confirm fitment before we quote:

  • VIN (17 characters, on the driver's-side dash plate, the door-jamb sticker, your registration or insurance card). It tells us the engine, transmission and axle options your vehicle was built with.
  • Year, make, model and trim, plus engine size and drivetrain (2WD, 4WD or AWD).
  • The part you need and whether you prefer used OEM or remanufactured.
  • The OEM part number if you can read it off the old part (see below) — it removes any doubt on vehicles with mid-year changes.
  • A photo of the old part when connectors, brackets or mounting styles vary.

How to Find the OEM Part Number

Most searches that start with a part number end with the right part. Here is where the number usually lives:

PartWhere the number is
EngineStamped pad on the block (often near the cylinder head or bell housing) plus the 8th VIN digit for the engine code.
Transmission / transfer caseMetal tag or stamping on the case; the transmission code (for example 4L60E or 6R80) is also on the door-jamb service parts label on many vehicles.
ECM / PCM / BCM / TCMPrinted label on the module housing, usually with a barcode and a hardware/software number.
ABS module / pumpLabel on the hydraulic unit or the attached control module.
Throttle body, fuel pump assemblyLabel or casting number on the housing; fuel pump numbers are on the tank-side flange.
Steering column, rack and pinion, power steering pumpTag or stamping on the column housing, on the rack body, or on the pump reservoir bracket.
Axle assembly, axle shaft, knuckle, hubAxle tag on the differential cover bolt (gear ratio and build code); shafts and hubs carry a stamped number on the shaft or flange.

Can't find it? Send the VIN and a photo — we will identify the part for you.
